about

This song represents the height of melodic black metal riffing Twilight Hammer has in their sound. The second half of the song is inspired by some of the more raw atmospheric black metal bands with some on-point bass soloing by P. Pervertiis, drawn from his involvement in our Canadian partners Demontage.

lyrics

A vision from the darkness
The world of men shall fall
Over all horizons
The Shadow's looming tall
From the window of the west
A pale light remains
Waning as the sun sets
Near-forever bound in chains

Can true hearts be corrupted?
Our courage has not failed
Remaining ever stalwart
Against the darkness veiled
As the days grow shorter
Ever He draws near
The white tree dead and barren
Our breath the edge of fear

The blade that was broken
Reforged for a ragged king
Long bereft of lordship
Claimant to His ring
In this is our salvation
To risk the path of gloom
Behold our greatest weapon
The light to Mordor's doom

FOR GONDOR!

Did you touch the darkness,
Oh wayward Son of Gondor?
They will hear your horn blow,
Like the cry of great Thorondor!
Yet not unto the silver gates,
Is where your journey takes you;
Death and valour beckon,
Ere the bane of Isildur breaks you.

Shall we weep for thee,
Oh wayward Son of Gondor?
The time of your calling
Is your awakening.

Wayward, wayward,
Wayward, ever wayward...

White clouds pull back,
To reveal the storm.
Away on the wings of redemption,
Your spirit is carried...

Wayward, wayward,
Wayward, ever wayward...
