Written around 2008, this song is inspired by George R. R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" book series. Fans of HBO's "Game of Thrones" series should know this was written before the show aired (but also before "The Winds of Winter" was released). This was decidedly the title track of the album (since 2014's demo was titled "Wrathfire") and also the inspiration for the cover art.

Built by the kings of old
The Wall - the last defense

Here the oaths by Crows are taken
